Another day, another studio shoot.
However, on this shoot, instead of standing around looking important (as a lighting assist and camera operator - or if i’m feeling fancy, Gaffer and DOP), I got to sit down looking busy. I sat in the front of the monitor taking notes and stuff for Continuity. Not that I really knew what I was doing, so I played it by ear for the most part. I had my continuity test with me to glance at if I needed a refresher or something.
‘Consumed’ was written by Aimee Jones-Watson and directed by Kelly! Trace was the 1st AD and I thought she did excellent. Angel was the lighting assist and provided me with much hilarity when I watched him instead of the monitor. Shardae was once again excellent, this time round as the 1st AC. Which I still don’t know what that role means. I suppose I should really start taking more photos of the set with my phone. People looking busy and all that. Oh well. Tomorrow is Scott’s class, hurrah!, and next week i’m 1st AC, 2nd AC and Camera Op once again. 2nd AC shouldn’t be too hard as I’ve done it loads of times on the year 2/3 shoots. Should be good times :) I love these studio shoots!
